The Valley Bookseller is a family owned independent bookstore located in historic Stillwater, Minnesota. For more on Stillwater,

As you enter The Valley Bookseller, you will notice a beautiful aviary, a running train set and a children's loft with abundant event space, as well as a reading lounge to rest in while perusing books.

The abundance of natural light will warm your spirits. But the most important things you find will be books, books and more books.

Signs in the store help everyone find books more easily. Stop by for a book and sit on the deck. People-watch as pedestrians wander through the green parks, or lazily contemplate the St Croix River as it meanders under the Stillwater bridge.

Our new store is located at 217 North Main Street, in Historic Stillwater, MN.

To get to The Valley Bookseller in beautiful, downtown Stillwater, take Highway 36 directly into Stillwater as it turns into Main Street. The Valley Bookseller is located in the north end of downtown, 1½ blocks past the turnoff to the historic Stillwater Lift Bridge, on the right side of Main Street. It is located in the Maple Island Building along with the River Market Community Co-op. If your trip to the bookstore includes a trip to River Market Grocery Store, there is free parking in the back of the store across Water Street, between the river and the store, just east of the Maple Island Building. If it’s not lumberjack days, you don’t have to worry about parking. There is free parking on Main Street in front (west side) and paid parking in the south lot. However, The South Lot is free parking from October 30 through May 1. This is just steps from our front door.
