Join us at the Marine Village Hall as local author, architect, and Marine Mills Folk School teacher Jim Lammers discusses his book, Barns of the St. Croix Valley – An Architect’s Sketchbook. Jim Lammers will discuss the history of the St. Croix Valley peoples, farming, and barns; explain different barn types and uses; and display his barn sketches. Lammers is a frequent traveler and an avid sketcher who began sketching local barns during the pandemic. The result was his book about barns in the 18-county St. Croix River watershed.
